Sales Manager Oncology (M/W/D)

As a Sales Manager Breast in Oncology, you will play a key role in new product launches that have the potential to save lives and improve quality of life for many individuals. We are seeking a strong communicator to lead our Oncology Key Account Managers and drive impactful sales results across the entire region.
Accountabilities
- Lead the sales team to achieve or exceed established sales targets and deliver operational business goals.
- Regularly participate in brand team meetings and contribute to the development of overall marketing and brand strategies.
- Oversee the execution of high-quality territory action plans, strategic account plans, and call plans.
- Support individual salespeople in setting strategic and challenging goals for each territory.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and team meetings to provide direction and share best practices.
- Deliver detailed feedback to salespeople on customer-level activities based on account and territory action plans, continuously assessing team and individual progress and coaching for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations regarding interactions with healthcare professionals, including proper management of sample distribution.
- Develop individuals to high-performance skill levels through designing and running sales trainings, offering ongoing coaching (including joint visits), and proactively addressing obstacles to performance.
- Dedicate a minimum of 40% of time to coaching activities and ensure achievement of field presence standards such as at least 195 days in the field and required call rates for salespeople.
- Guarantee 100% adherence to CDTI standards in all activities and behaviors and promote effective account working practices including use of AI tools for performance improvement.
Essential Skills/Experience
- Relevant Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven experience in a similar managerial or sales/marketing/medical role within a multinational matrix organization and the pharmaceutical industry.
- Sales Manager Background: Candidates with previous experience managing oncology-focused sales teams within peer organizations will be highly valued.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent written and spoken command of both English and German.
- Educational Background: Completion of Matura or a university degree in business or science.
- Leadership and People Skills: Demonstrated proactive leadership, team management, strategic thinking, and a passion for developing others; recognized ability to leverage individual and team capabilities for collective success.
- Cross-Functional Experience: Proven track record in leading larger cross-functional teams, collaborating with external alliances, and driving results in oncology sales environments.
- Industry Knowledge: Profound understanding of the oncology field, as well as expertise in coaching and training sales teams.
